Great beards don’t just grow on trees. They grow on the faces of people who’ve put the time, effort, and right products into nurturing and nourishing their beards.
A well-conditioned beard is a strong beard and the stronger your beard, the better it will grow. A critical part of conditioning your beard is using the right beard growth oil.
Thankfully, beard growth oils are both effective and easy to make. So, if you’d like to know how to make beard oil at home, read on
What is beard growth oil?
Beard growth oils have specifically high levels of jojoba oil and pure argan oil in them in order to moisturize the skin below the hair. Keeping your facial skin moisturized gets rid of common inhibitors of fast beard growth, such as dead skin cells.
Additionally, the jojoba and argan oils are able to penetrate the pores that your beard grows out of, coating your hair follicles and making your beard more resilient and resistant to damage.
Lastly, many beard growth oils contain ingredients, such as vitamin E, that actively help to repair the structure of your facial hair and promote faster growth.
How is beard growth oil different from regular beard oil?
A good way to think about beard growth oil vs beard oil is like moisturizer vs aftershave. Beard growth oil contains oils that are as close to sebum, your skin’s natural oil, as possible.
This similarity to sebum makes them easier for the body to absorb and they act like a natural moisturizing agent.
Beard growth oils also often lack the heavy carrier oils and strong artificial scents that standard beard oils can have. They are there to keep your beard healthy, not style it or scent it.
